Sue Mills MCSP - Director
Sue qualified in London in 1986 and worked at University College Hospital before taking up a
senior post at Southampton Hospital and local private practices. Sue has worked extensively with numerous sports clubs, rugby, football and ski teams over the years. Sue is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and has practiced acupuncture since 1999
Sue’s specialises in the treatment of back pain, neck pain and sports injuries. Many patients are referred to Sue by leading orthopoedic consultants in the Hamphsire area.
Sue's interests are horse riding, sailing, running and family holidays! Sue also supports World Vision the international childrens charity sponsoring two children in Kenya.
Steve Poole MCSP
Steve graduated from the University of Southampton in 1998 receiving a BSC (hons) degree in Physiotherapy. He worked in the NHS for a number of years, before leaving to broaden his experience of Spinal Rehabilitation and Sporting Injuries.
Steve worked as an Academy Physio at Southampton Football Club for five years, treating elite athletes of all age groups. This role coincided with working for the M O D treating army recruits.
This has given Steve a broad depth of knowledge in the treatment and rehabilitation of both acute and chronic joint conditions.
Steve has provided physiotherapy at Romsey Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic for a number of years. He believes in “hands-on” manual therapy for the treatment of al joint conditions, especially back and neck problems. Coupled with a robust rehabilitation programme to alleviate pain and restore them to full function in a quick and efficient manner.
Steve’s personal interests include rugby, football, motorbikes and kayaking. He also enjoys long walks with his dogs.
Emily Stevens MCSP
Emily Qualified from the University of Southampton in 2005 with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy and has worked predominantly in the musculoskeletal field since. Emily has experience across both the NHS and private hospital healthcare and has excellent working relationships with many of the local orthopaedic consultants. Emily qualified as a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in 2010 and has been practicing acupuncture in the management of musculoskeletal pain since. Emily has completed post graduate study towards qualification under the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and has an interest in the impact of the fascial system on musculoskeletal pain.
Steve Jones DPODM
Steve qualified at the Wales Centre for Podiatric Studies in 1979. He is one of the pioneers of Podiatric Biomechanics and Musculoskeletal Podiatry in the UK and has been actively involved in the development of sports medicine and the progress of podiatry.
Steve has worked in both the NHS and private practice, acquiring a broad experience in orthopaedics, rheumatology and paediatrics. In sport Steve has experience in treating people from local club/social level to elite Olympic standard and has been a consultant podiatrist for Southampton Football Club and Hampshire County Cricket. He has been lucky enough to work with some of the top practioners in orthopaedics and physiotherapy and has developed close working links within these professions. He has a keen interest in teaching and research speccifically in the development of musculoskeletal practice. Steve is currently working as an Extended Scope Practioner with the NHS musculoskeletal triage service and as a Senior Practioner in podiatry. He is also currently developing his interest in the treatment of tendon injuries.
