Your first appointment
Your physiotherapist will take a medical history from you before carrying out a thorough physiotherapy assessment.
Once a diagnosis has been made your physio will discuss this with you and then a treatment plan will be tailored to your individual needs.

How does physiotherapy work?
It is the skilled use of treatment techniques and exercise to regain movement, promote healing and relieve pain.
All our physiotherapists are manual therapists, this means we use our hands to manipulate and mobilise structures that are not moving freely.
A full muscle and soft tissue analysis will be performed and appropriate exercises given to address strength/weakness, core stability and flexibility. |

freely.
Acupuncture - all our therapists are trained in acupuncture which
we often use in conjunction with mainstream physiotherapy.
Electrotherapy - ultra-sound, interferential & tens machines
may also be used to help settle inflammation & to relieve
pain.
Exercise - this is of immense importance in not only helping
to resolve your current problem but in preventing a reoccurrence.
A full muscle & soft tissue analysis will be performed &
appropriate exercises given which address strength / weakness,
